Application Cases
Hydrometallurgy Process
Client: A listed metallurgical enterprise
Daily Treatment Capacity:12000m³
Source of Treatment Solution:
Unlike pyrometallurgy, which relies on high-temperature smelting, hydrometallurgy extracts metals through chemical leaching and solvent extraction.
During the acid leaching stage, metals within the ore are dissolved into solution for further recovery. However, organic impurities present in the raw material, as well as entrained organic extractants, can enter the aqueous phase, resulting in oil-containing wastewater.
This type of wastewater is typically characterized by high temperature, strong acidity, and the presence of fine, stable oil emulsions, making it difficult to treat using conventional separation methods.
By applying the CASAIS Aggregation-Induced Separation process, the client successfully achieved efficient demulsification and oil–water separation under acidic and high-temperature conditions.
The solution provided by CAS-REALNM ensured stable effluent quality, reduced chemical consumption, and enabled safe wastewater recycling within the hydrometallurgical process.
Treatment Effect
Processing comparison:In a strong acid environment with more than 30% acid content, the filter is used continuously for 12+ months and the water output is always stable.
